Hot Dogs Are Not a Contest!

Francis Weiner, founder of CFABHD, took over Heinz’s feeds.

He posted a manifesto on Instagram and TikTok, then five more videos, like what hot dogs dream about.

On the Fourth of July, he took the protest to Coney Island.

Protesters handed out signs, pamphlets and swag, and a banner plane flew over the beach.

Then Kobayashi joined the movement.

The six-time champion swore off eating contests: “I recognize now that I was woefully misguided.”

Heinz offered the losers $10,000 to eat one hot dog the right way.

Matching the contest’s prize, for a video eating a hot dog with at least one Heinz condiment.

The runner-up ate 49 hot dogs, then one more, with Heinz.
